Open doors and unlock opportunities for youth at Skyline Tower!

Skyline Tower is a large, multi-cultural, multi-lingual affordable housing community right here in the Union Park neighborhood of St. Paul.  Nearly 1000 people of all ages live at Skyline Tower, and the majority, but not all, of the residents are refugees from East African countries.  Skyline Tower is a part of CommonBond Communities, a 40 year old nonprofit providing affordable homes with services.

More than 30 kids at Skyline Tower are ready to be paired with a mentor this school year.  You can unlock the door to a successful academic career by being a mentor or tutor to one of these youth.  Within CommonBond Communities, 91% of the high school seniors who participated in CommonBond programs in the last two years graduated from high school. The success of the students is directly related to the caring volunteers who say “YES” to this experience.  You can open doors and unlock opportunities by taking an hour and a half each week to help students succeed in school and in life!

There are also mentoring and tutoring opportunities available at CommonBond sites elsewhere in St. Paul, as well as in Minneapolis, Minnetonka, and Edina.

You can sign up for a training session at www.commonbond.org/volunteer
