The Holland Neighborhood Improvement Association marches in the Celebrate Northeast Parade. Members of the neighborhood group talk about their involvement in this segment of a show produced by the Minneapolis Television Network (mtn.org) for the Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP).
The overall vision for these improvements was championed by Corcoran resident Sue Redmond, an avid light rail rider and pedestrian who was compelled to engage Metro Transit by the unsafe and unwelcoming atmosphere she observed at the station area. A longtime volunteer and activist in the Corcoran area, Sue was named “Corcoran Volunteer of the Year” in February 2008.
