The next event in the Lex-Ham Theater’s Classic Comedies play reading series will be Season’s Greetings by Alan Ayckbourn on Friday, December 2 at 1184 Portland Avenue, Saint Paul.

Neville and Belinda are hosting the extended family for Christmas.  Phyllis may have taste tested the cooking wine a bit too much.  Uncle Harvey bought guns as gifts for all the little grand nieces and nephews.  Rachel’s friend, Clive, who’s an author, has to take on the role of Father Christmas to hand out the presents.   Bernard prepares his holiday family tradition of a puppet show for the children.  After seeing his production, you will never think of The Three Little Pigs the same ever again.  Throw in a lively game of Snakes and Ladders and you end up with a family holiday gathering full of drama and laughter.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. with a potluck supper with the reading starting at approximately 7:00.  Newcomers are always welcome.  No reservations are required.  The only things that are required is bringing something delicious to share, a copy of the script if possible, and a love of well-written comedies.

See www.LexHamArts.org/theater/ClassicComedies/Comedies.html for all the details.
