NEIGHBORHOOD NOTES | A New Pea in the Neighborhood Pod

Print

There is a new neighbor along Como Avenue in the St. Anthony Park business strip. The former hardware store space at 2290 Como will now offer fun and fiddley toys for the younger set. Folks in the market for wood toys, baby slings, cloth diapers, music and books will be pleased to see that Pea Pods, www.peapods.com, opened its store January 6. Formerly located on Snelling and St. Clair Avenues, the new Pea Pods store is now twice as big.

The store is run by Millie Adelsheim and Dan Marshall, parents to Abby, Riley and Duncan. Millie’s mother Jule, a retired teacher, also works at the store.

Mary Hamel, St. Anthony Park resident and executive director of the Metro Independent Business Alliance, metroiba.org, says, “Please stop by and welcome proprietors Dan and Millie to the neighborhood!”

Pea Pods is located at 2290 Como Avenue, St. Paul MN 55108. The phone number is 651-695-5559. Store hours are: Monday–Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
