NEIGHBORHOOD NOTES | Northeast Network discusses the Upper Riverfront

Print

With each passing day – and each public or corporate meeting on the topic – development of the Upper Mississippi Riverfront becomes a more immediate concern of Northeast Minneapolis residents. Much of the talk is among the professionals, those who draw the maps, and decide who plays and who pays.

Concerned Northeasters who want to know more have a chance to learn on Thursday, August 11, 7:30-8:45 a.m. at the monthly Northeast Network conversation sponsored by the Eastside Food Cooperative. Representatives of the Minneapolis Riverfront Design Initiative present their “Vision of the Future: The Upper Riverfront.”

The free event is in the Granite Studio at the Eastside Food Coop, 2551 Central Avenue NE (enter through the SW door).

All are invited to connect with others and to stay in touch with what’s happening in Northeast at these monthly Northeast Network events presented by the Eastside Food Co-op. The networking events which take place on the 2nd Thursday of each month usually include guest speakers and a time to network with others.

Coffee and breakfast treats provided. Free parking in the EFC parking lot.
