“History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people.”

Free Speech Zone
The Free Speech Zone offers a space for contributions from readers, without editing by the TC Daily Planet. This is an open forum for articles that otherwise might not find a place for publication, including news articles, opinion columns, announcements and even a few press releases.

This admonition from the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has been the pointer on the moral compass to direct a North Minneapolis meeting called Navigating the Political Landscape. NorthWay Community Trust, Northside Policy Action Coalition and Impact Minnesota will convene an open forum and elected official panel discussion to investigate methods to Navigating the Political Landscape at the State Capitol. These Strategies to Connect at the Capitol will be outlined by Representative Bobby Jo Champion, Senator John Harrington, Representative Jeff Hayden, Representative Rena Moran.

This will all take place on March 15, 2011, 6:30 pm ‐ 8:00pm at UROC, 2001 Plymouth Avenue North, Minneapolis. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, please contact Shawntera at  Shawntera@impactminnesota.org or James Tice at James_PublicPolicyProject@msn.com.
