Print

First Avenue was packed with local music lovers on Friday night for Radio K‘s annual showcase of the past year’s best new bands. Variety was the watchword of this year’s show, with performers including Leisure Birds (indie rock), No Bird Sing (soulful hip-hop), Peter Wolf Crier (atmospheric folk-pop), Red Pens (punk rock rave-ups), Twilight Hours (adult contemporary pop), Slapping Purses (electronica), and the Moonstone Continuum (prog rock). Photographer Meredith Westin snapped the lot of ’em.
