Two high school students at the American Indian Opportunities Industrialization Center (AIOIC) alternative high school, Takoda Prep, talk about the positive impact of the school’s learning environment, small class sizes, and culturally-integrated education. As an alternative education program in the Native American community, students at Takoda Prep attain their high school diplomas at higher rates than American Indian students at other area schools.
