This piece explores two different forms of public art. In the first half we meet Wing Young Huie and see how he is showcasing his photography to the public. He is known for his portraits of Minnesota residents and his public exhibitions. In the second segment we meet the members of Power of Our Voices, an after school theater program for high school students. In this piece, they focus on poetry and spoken word.
This video has been featured in the teen art exhibit, Loose Ends: Definitions of the Young Mind, the Perpich Center for Arts Education first annual Teel Film Festival, and received a 2012 High School Student Television award for excellence from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
