Saturday, June 4 is the official NORTH SIDE VOLUNTEER CLEAN-UP DAY in north Minneapolis. The City of Minneapolis will mobilize 2,000 volunteers to help with debris cleanup in the area affected by the May 22 tornado.

To thank volunteers for their time, Minneapolis MOSAIC is hosting a “Volunteer Appreciation” rooftop picnic, courtesy of Subway and Capella University, at the Downtown Minneapolis YMCA from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Free entertainment will follow at 7 p.m. and is provided by Minneapolis MOSAIC at the Pantages Theatre. Performances include this year’s art commission presented by Sumunar and Green T Productions, and The MPLS TLNT SHW! featuring the top teen performers from each of the 11 Minneapolis neighborhoods competing for top honors and prizes.
