Enjoy a summer evening with family and friends at the Lake Hiawatha Neighborhood Festival.
This annual event will take place on Wed., Aug. 7 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lake Hiawatha Park (2701 E. 44th St.).
Kids can look forward to pony rides (under 10 years old), face painting, hair painting, games
of skill, the 5-in-1 sports moonwalk, and an inflatable water slide. Other activities will include mini-golf from Party Putt, caricaturist Judy Lieber, a medallion hunt, and a raffle.
The festival will again have the family fitness challenge and a talent contest. Pre-registration is required for both of these events.
Vendors will sell food, including pizza, hot dogs, mini-donuts, ice cream, yogurt, and pop. If you would like a table to promote a business or organization, e-mail Joyce Boettcher at email@example.com. Volunteers will be needed the day of the festival for setting up tables and chairs.
