The newest business addition to the Standish-Ericsson community is a blink-and-you-miss it vintage shop. Only open for occasional sales, the shop held its first event April 30 to May 1. It will be open again from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the day of the neighborhood garage sales: Saturday, June 11.
Expect a vintage bargain rack as well as a bunch of modern clothing, housewares and miscellaneous stuff.

This is a permanent home for Mighty Swell. According to its website, Mighty Swell is produced and executed by Minneapolis-based bloggers and vintage lovers Meghan McAndrews (http://highplainsthrifter.net/) and Rae Danneman (http://bourbonandlace.blogspot.com/). Frustrated with online retailing and Etsy shop up-keep, the idea for a temporary retail event, with reasonable prices and a chill atmosphere was born.
Find vintage clothing, shoes, accessories and jewelry from all eras, housewares and decor, small furniture and other nifty stuff at Mighty Swell.
The event April 30 to May 1 “was our most successful sale to date in so many ways,” blogged organizer Rae Danneman. “Our lovely group of vendors brought their collections in and together we created a vintage shop full of love. Each piece hand picked, each tag hand-made.”
She added, “One of my favorite parts of doing this is seeing how each vendor’s personalities come through in their selection of clothing and accessories as well as their merch tags. We had quite the group of stylish and creative gals, and none of this would be possible without them.”
Vendors include: Bourbon & Lace, High Plains Thrifter, Top Drawer Vintage, Valise Vintage, Teacup Vintage, Ramble & Pluck, Retro Wanderlust, and Audrey Rose Vintage.
