According to a recent study, Minnesota stands to gain a significant boost in its economy if Congress passes an energy bill making this possible.

Minnesota’s Road to Energy Independence study predicts that Minnesota may be able to add over 18-thousand new jobs in the fast-growing renewable energy industry.

On November 26th, Mayors R.T. Rybak and Chris Coleman joined the Blue Green Alliance, United Steelworkers, Environment America, and Minnesota-based Mortenson Construction at a press conference to discuss how Minnesota could generate thousands of new “green” jobs through manufacturing the components for wind turbines, solar panels, and other renewable energy equipment.
