So, this is it, folks! Last day of shows, ending in a wild dance party at the Varsity tonight.
Due to the way the Audience Picks/Encore shows work (the highest selling show in each venue gets an encore slot at 8:30 tonight), you have the ability to see a few shows TWICE today! I’m not sure why exactly you’d want to do that, but the point is you can!! Nine (9!) shows will be doing doubles today. Not one, but TWO chances to see some of the favorites!
A couple shows I enjoyed very much that you can still see:
An Honest Magic Show at 4:00 at Mixed Blood is lovely and charming. Some words not great for kids, but if that’s not an issue, this is a nice little magic show.
Boxed at 5:30 at HUGE is a sweet solo show about a young woman’s struggles with remembering, living with epilepsy, and falling in love with a Mormon. As I write this it sounds like an oddly contrived plot, but it works.
And what does my day hold? Well, good question. By the end of Fringe I’m super fickle. I can start out with a very solid plan and throw it all out the window on a whim. I’m hoping for:
One Arm at the Southern at 1:00
Edgar Allan at Theatre Garage at 2:30 (buuuuutttt, I could also see the encore at 8:30…)
Break at 4 to take friend to light rail
Connected with Dan Schuchart at 5:30 in the Rarig Xperimental
Something TBD at 7
Fotis Canyon at 8:30 in the Rarig Thrust. I know I’ve already seen it, but this will be my reward for being a good Fringer. I would be inspired to accomplish so much if there was promise of Fotis Reward at the end.
Then Varsity party!!
