We need you!

Union Park District Council is a nonprofit made up of an all-volunteer board of directors.  We need new board members!  Serving as a director on a district council is a great opportunity to make a difference in your neighborhood.

And yes – from asphalt to flowers?  Many of the neighborhoods in our district have flower gardens and safer traffic thanks to the work of past board members and conscious votes.  You can make a difference, too!

14 Directors will be elected this year:
Representatives for grids 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 15
At-large Residential Director for Merriam Park, Snelling-Hamline, and Lexington-Hamline areas
At-large Nonprofit Director
At-large Business Director
Applying is easy!

First: Fill out the application!
Simply visit our website, www.unionparkdc.org, to download an application.

Second: Identify your supporters!
Our bylaws ask that each applicant gain 5 signatures from others who live/own within the grid to support the board application.  That is a great opportunity to get out and meet your neighbors!

Eligibility: Any person who resides in the grid they represent, who owns property, owns a business or is the business owner designee within that grid are eligible to apply.

Deadline: Completed applications are due by September 26, 2011, for election at the Annual District Meeting on October 12, 2011.
