Name: Jason Ballweber
What’s your job?
“My job is being a theater person. More specifically I am a freelance actor, director, and teacher; and I am the artistic director of Four Humors Theater.”
Other than your job, what are your claims to fame?
“I am a decent cribbage player. Don’t think I am famous for it, but there you go.”
Where are you most likely to be seen?
“You have the best chance of seeing me in the audience at a theater. If I have a night off, I usually spend it going to see a show.”
Where are you least likely to be seen?
“L.A.”
With whom are you most likely to be seen?
“When I am out, it is usually after a rehearsal or show with my cast.”
Where were you born?
“Champlin, Minnesota.”
What neighborhood do you live in now?
“I live in Uptown.”
What’s your ride?
“I am a car guy. I spend far too much time in my car.”
What’s the best way for someone to start a conversation with you?
“‘What’s the last show you saw?’ I realize how theater-centric all of these answers are but it is really most of what I do. I love performing. I love directing. I love going to see shows; even if I hate the show, I love having gone to see it and hate it. So apparently to start a conversation with me you can just say, ‘Hey, theater,’ and I will talk to you.”
