Head Scarf Society returns on Sunday by Bashe Said, African News Journal The 6th and Totally Unique HEAD SCARF SOCIETY-Tea Lit Encounter will take place at the end of this month. One of the organizers, Rose McGee said they were are bringing together and want to invite all women to join this special event where guests will enjoy a diverse sampling of foods from across the world made by Midtown Global Market vendors. Three varieties of tea will be served and door prizes will be awarded.

Mirai Nagasu to compete at U.S. Figure Skating Championships by Tom LaVenture, Asian American Press Mirai Nagasu, the 14-year-old figure skating sensation, will be competing at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in St. Paul at the Xcel Energy Center this January 20-27, 2008. Nagasu is among 21 competitors for the Senior’s Ladies title. Among them is the well-known champion, Caroline Zhang, Karen Zhou and Beatrisa Liang.
