VIEWS AND REVIEWS From Peru to St. Paul by Jennifer Holder, Special to the TC Daily Planet The intricately, hand carved gourds of Lucio, his wife Monica and their relatives will be proudly displayed at the St. Paul Art Crawl this weekend. Lucio and his family live and work in the small village of Cochas Chico, Huancayo, Peru. The gourds feature the designs of Twin Cities artists and residents Juan Llerena and his wife Rita as well as the Lucio family. The collection of artwork is owned and exhibited by Expo Peru Collection. This weekend: Saint Paul’s Fall 2007 Art Crawl by Mary Thoemke, Special to the TC Daily Planet More than 200 resident and guest artists will display their works at the 24th Saint Paul Art Crawl, which will be held October 12-14. The Art Crawl is a grassroots effort that has grown to become one of the largest events of its type in the Twin Cities.
