In around 2003, I was given my first guitar. Despite the fact that my guitar skills were (and remain) limited and my ability to sing in key is even more so, for the hell of it I started writing, recording, and performing songs. It’s been a while since I’ve played, but today I picked my guitar back up and opened my old song binder to the second song I ever wrote (the first being a thank-you song to the step-cousin who gave the guitar to me). It’s about Jeff Tweedy, who’s coming to the State Theatre this week with his band Wilco. To welcome Tweedy to town (or, as the case may be, chase him away), I immortalized the ditty on Vimeo.
