FBI raid victims get sympathetic ear at Klobuchar office

For the third week in a row activists rallied in support of the targets of the FBI raids on September 24. This time in front of US Senator Amy Klubuchar’s office. A delegation representing the targets and other peace groups met with two local staff members and a third on a conference call in Washington DC. Staff thanked the delegation and said this was the first time they were aware of the details of the raid and the human cost represented by this action. Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer, respected St. Thomas University Professor and candidate for 2008 DFL senate endorsement said, “We don’t expect Amy to share in the beliefs of the people here today. What’s at stake is much more troubling.”
