U.S. PREMIERE
Director: MICHAL KWIECINSKI

This genial comedy tracks the unexpected arrival of a Chinese film crew in a small Polish village. The highfalutin’ director enlists the locals as background extras in his latest epic.

His reasoning: Poles all look miserable so they’ll be naturals for his tragedy. As production rolls on and the culture clash escalates (the townsfolk all clamor to be in the fim and hit bigtime), a pretty young translator struggles to keep the peace. Feature directorial debut for prolific TV producer Kwiecinski.
