Event Details

Learn basic first aid skills needed to help youth or a young adult who is experiencing a mental health problem or crisis including suicide. Focus is given to recognizing the early warning signs of a mental health problem to full-blown suicidal ideation.

Certificates will be provided and attendees may use these to apply for CEUs. Information regarding curriculum can be found at www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org. Participants MUST be present for entire curricula to receive a certificate.

This nine-hour workshop is designed for members of the public who have frequent contact with youth and young adults such as parents, school staff, coaches, youth workers and volunteers. It is not intended for professionals who have a background in mental health.

**Please Note: Staff will let participants in the main entrance 15 minutes BEFORE and 15 minutes AFTER the 8:00 am start time.

*Lunch will be provided by Anoka County. If you have food allergies, please bring your own lunch.
