03dec9:30 am11:30 amReflect, Resist, Renew: Jewish Community Action Today & Tomorrow

Event Details

It’s time again for Jewish Community Action’s annual meeting. Every year we meet with our members and stakeholders to evaluate where we are, plan for where we’re going, and rededicate ourselves to the cause of social justice.

This has been a year in transition. With a new Executive Director comes a renewed vision for our organization – and with a new vision comes a new shared conversation with our friends and members.

We’ll hear from community members who have participated in our deep canvassing project and our affordable housing campaign, and we’ll model a deep canvassing interaction, so folks who’ve not made it out to the doors can get a chance to see what it’s all about. And we will take stock of where we are as an organization and discuss how best to move forward and continue to achieve our mission.

We’ll hear from our organizers about our affordable housing campaign and our deep canvass project. We’ve brought hundreds of community members together with a renewed focus on making sure every Minnesotan has a place to sleep at night – and we’ve inspired hundreds more to engage with those around them and with folks they might not otherwise talk with. Many of you may have been to one or more of our housing forums or canvasses. And if you haven’t, we want to share with you what we’ve been working on.

And, of course, we’ll present the JCA Call to Justice Award.

Join us at the Sabes Jewish Community Center located at 4330 Cedar Lake Road, St. Louis Park on Sunday, December 3rd, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.

This meeting is open to everyone, JCA member or not. We’re hosting space to learn and grow through our Jewish traditions and mobilize towards a more just world. Childcare will be available.
