Event Details

“MPD150 is a community-based initiative challenging the narrative that police exist to protect and serve. By researching the Minneapolis Police Department’s history, reviewing current practices, and mapping responsible alternatives, we are committed to pursuing a police-free future.”

We are hosting a benefit show to spread awareness about and support this new project. The show will be held in our garden (or inside in the event of rain). Poets, musicians, and reps of mpd150 will speak to the heart of this project – cultivating real conversation about the future of policing.

Performers include:
Tony the Scribe
The Bolt Weevils
Joe Davis
Katherine Parent,

MPD150 has received a matching grant of $5,000, so any funds donated at this event or through the newly launched online fundraiser will be doubled up to $5,000.

The most accessibile route for people who want to avoid stairs is around back, but we’ll have some of the stage set up there. It would be easiest if people who want to use that route can let us know so we can make sure to have the route clear when you come.

(Thursday) 6:00 pm - 10:15 pm
