Dr. Curtis Acosta was a high school teacher for nearly 20 years in Tucson, where he developed and taught Chicanx/Latinx Literature classes for the renowned Mexican American Studies program in the Tucson Unified School District. Curtis was featured in the documentary Precious Knowledge. He is currently an Assistant Professor in Language and Culture in Education at the University of Arizona South.
Dr. Adriana McCleer is a public librarian, scholar, and community connector. She was a Knowledge River scholar and earned her M.A. in Library and Information Science from the University of Arizona. She earned her Ph.D. in Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her research addresses barriers to information access and intellectual freedom, with specific focus on multicultural populations.
