Event Details

An evening with two path-breaking queer writers. Known for his dramatic monologue poems and distinctive typography, Frank Bidart is the author of Half-light: Collected Poems (2017), an anthology of 50 years of acclaimed work for which he won both the 2018 Pulitzer Prize and the 2017 National Book Award for Poetry. He is the author of numerous other collections, including Metaphysical Dog (2013), which won the 2013 National Book Critics Circle Award, the 2014 PEN/Voelcker Award, and was a finalist for the National Book Award. Maggie Nelson’s works defy classification, ranging between poetry and memoir, theory and criticism. Her latest is The Argonauts, which won a 2015 National Book Critics Circle Award for Criticism; other titles include Bluets, The Art of Cruelty: A Reckoning, and The Red Parts. In 2016, Nelson received a MacArthur Fellowship.

The authors will also answer audience questions and sign books. Free and open to the public! No tickets or reservations necessary. All welcome!
