Sam Gould will give a brief overview of his work in socially engaged art, from early Red76 projects and their influences to his current project, Publics & Publication, supported through Forecast Public Art’s Mid-Career Grant.
Sam Gould is the founding editor of Red76, an expanded publication platform he co-founded in Portland, OR. which operated between 2000 – 2016. His work with Red76—as well as writing and lectures on the intersections of education, sociality, and the politics of the everyday—have been distributed widely through exhibitions, projects, and publications. Sam is Forecast’s 2017 Mid-Career Project grantee.
