Event Details

On Sunday, May 19 we in partnership with MSP Film Society present “The Wall,” a film looking back at the saga of the Native American homeless camp in Minneapolis the last half of 2018. The film documents the growth of the camp, the community response, the internal conflicts, and the eventual transfer of residents to shelter. It also captures the stories of the residents, who share their journeys to the camp, their lives there, and their hopes for a better future; and it follows one couple from August to December, who open up about the trials of their addiction, their relationship, and their hopes to get their kids back.

Film creator Brandon Ferdig will welcome all attendees at 4:00, and then it’s showtime! Following the showing, Brandon will speak about the creation of the film and take questions from the audience.

This event will raise money to assist those trying to build a life off the streets, with all proceeds going to the individuals and organizations featured in the film. Ticket “price” is either pay-what-you-can or however much you’d like to donate to the cause, whichever way you’d like to look at it. There will also be an opportunity to donate at the premiere.
