The MPRB is a 9 person elected body that governs the Minneapolis park system; the largest property holder in the city with a budget upwards of $100 Million per year and it’s own police force. All 9 seats are up for election on November 7th. Parks and Power is collaborating with community orgs across the city to host 4 forums for community members to hear where candidates seeking election to the Park Board stand on issues of Racial and Economic Justice.
We will be asking for candidates visions and commitments on a range of issues including
