Please join Parks and Power Monday, Feb. 12 for our first People’s Assembly of 2018. This is a space to get connected to community organizing for Racial and Economic Justice in Minneapolis Parks.

Network with neighbors from across the city, get oriented to the new power structure at the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and get plugged into working groups in the following issues areas:

– Investment into Recreation in Youth Development/Programming at neighborhood parks

– Urban Agriculture/Food Justice

– Community Alternatives to Policing

– Place Keeping/Anti-Gentrification

Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. Spanish and Somali interpretation, as well as childcare, will be provided.
