Breaking the Code: Gender, Technology and the Future – with Reshma Saujani, Founder and CEO of Girls Who Code

WHAT: Each fall, the AchieveMpls Education Partners Luncheon gathers over 600 Twin Cities business, education and civic leaders to celebrate and renew our community’s strong commitment to public education and success for all students. Presented by Best Buy with Platinum Sponsors Target and U.S. Bank.

DETAILS: High tech is one of the fastest-growing segments of our economy, but women continue to be highly underrepresented in technology jobs and leadership. Sidelining the creativity and solutions that women can bring to tech not only hurts women and girls—it also harms communities, businesses and our entire economy. Our keynote speaker Reshma Saujani is out to change all that. She’s the renowned entrepreneur, founder and CEO of Girls Who Code, a national non-profit that’s closing the gender gap in technology, stoking excitement for computer science among young women and preparing them for jobs of the future. Her goal: one million women in computer science by 2020.
