Event Details

Please join Arise Project for a night of networking with a purpose. You will learn more about LGBTQ youth homelessness during a short program at 6:30 p.m. followed by a volunteer activity that entails assembling emergency overnight kits for our most vulnerable youth.
Are you up for a challenge? There are 4,000 homeless youth in Minnesota on any given night. Warm socks and undergarments are a crucial key to survival during the winter. Help Sock it to Homelessness by bringing new warm socks and other undergarments for homeless youth, ages 13-17 years old to the event. This is an easy way to give back to the community with your family, friends, neighbors or company. Start a sock drive, then celebrate your impact by joining us at the event!

Can’t make it to Sock It? You can still help local homeless youth get warm socks and undergarments for the winter.
Associated Bank and UPS are partnering with Greater Twin Cities United Way Arise Project to help homeless youth in our community.

Items needed include:
• Thick socks
• Underwear (boy shorts, boxers and briefs)
• Sports bras
• Leggings
• White t-shirts and tank tops
• Long underwear

Go to gtcuw.org/socks for a list of drop-off locations or to make a donation online by Oct. 10.

Together we thrive. We are humankind.
