Event Details

Join us on Saturday, June 15, 2019 to discuss the political and power dynamics of educational and funding policies and choices, develop skills to navigate the educational system and policy landscape, and hone a racial and social justice lens to advocate for language and educational rights.

This convening will specifically explore:

-The science and stories about the importance of heritage language preservation and cultural knowledge and history.
-The tools needed to be effective change agents to advocate for language, literacy practices, and cultural practices in combination with institutions and organizations.

This is a community centered and family friendly event. We encourage active participation from parents, youth, heritage language teachers, ethnic studies teachers and community advocates from the Asian American community.
