Event Details
Documentary double feature exploring the Michigan copper miners’ strike of 1913: RED METAL and 1913 MASSACRE. These two films were made independently of each other to mark the 100th anniversary of this historic and tragic struggle. The second film was inspired by Woody Guthrie’s “1913 Massacre” and features his son Arlo as a narrator. Each film is an hour, and, together, they provide multiple perspectives on this important but largely forgotten story.
