On Saturday, September 25, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, help celebrate the grand opening of St. Paul’s newest park, which pays tribute to the East Side’s rich heritage. The new addition, Eastside Heritage Park is located on Phalen Boulevard, just off Arcade Street.
This will be a community celebration for East Side residents. People of all ages are encouraged to come and celebrate their natural, economic and cultural heritage. The mayor and parks officials will cut the official ribbon kicking off the event. Look for clues to the Heritage Scavenger Hunt utilizing the park’s history panels. Characters representing each panel will be available to tell stories about their history as people hunt for clues on the panels.
People attending the celebration are encouraged to walk or ride bikes; parking is limited. Food representing East Side cultures will be available.
