Hey Folks –

As I’m sure you noticed, contractors have been circling the neighborhood like buzzards since the storm. There is one in particular that I’ve seen a few times a day: Delta Construction.

I’m not in need of a contractor, but I did look them up on the BBB and they score a big fat F. http://www.bbb.org/minnesota/business-reviews/roofing-contractors/delta-construction-in-woodbury-mn-96115695

Be careful out there!

I figured tree services had a lot of potential work out there with trees torn in half on private property. The forestry division of MPRB has its hands full for a while, too.

Just wanted to pass along this info:

After house damage from the storm, my friend in Powderhorn received a visit and a flyer from PEI Professional Exteriors Inc Lic. #BC637881. Address: 3158 Viking Blvd NE East Bethel MN.

She asked if I check them out for her. I learned that on 2/16/2010 MN Dept. of Labor took action against this company for fraud, dishonest practices and unlicensed activity. On 10/01/12 there was a consent order for censure and a $3,000 civil penalty with $2,000 stayed on conditions. The consent order was not a finding of fact or admission of guilt.
