Running for Vice Chair: Marissa Tappy –

I moved to the Corcoran neighborhood in Sept. with my partner and our furry kids. After moving in, we attended a neighborhood general meeting which gave us the opportunity to get involved in Corcoran GROWS. Before moving here, I worked in Student Affairs at several colleges. I thrived in this field because of my ability to facilitate effective meetings, and work on teams with people from diverse backgrounds and abilities. Currently, I spend my time with several non-profit organizations, including Pro-Choice Resources and Peace House Africa. My passion lies in making my neighborhood a safe space where awareness, compassion and education dictate the change we want to see!

Running for At-Large Member: Maggie Pearson-

I’ve lived in the Corcoran Neighborhood since early 2012. I currently work for a media-focused nonprofit and at a local brewery. As a candidate for the board, I bring previous experience in working on neighborhood housing issues, as well as an interest in helping with existing efforts to improve the bike-ability and sustainability of the neighborhood. I’d like to serve on the board to connect to my neighbors and this wonderful neighborhood.
