Corcoran Neighborhood and the Midtown Farmers Market Welcomes New Assistant

Print

Elizabeth Logas is the newest member of the Corcoran Neighborhood Organization and the Midtown Farmers Market, working as Program Assistant. She recently graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with majors in Political Science and Environmental Studies. Her experience studying social justice and alternative food systems during a semester abroad in India strongly shaped her passion for increasing public accessibility to healthy, local food—and led to her interest in CNO and the Midtown Farmers Market. Prior to moving into her Lutheran Volunteer Corps house in the Powderhorn neighborhood, Elizabeth interned at an organic farm in St. Peter, Minnesota, and worked with The Moral Omnivore, a food truck dedicated to local and organic food.

When not working, Elizabeth enjoys reading, gardening, cooking and playing board games. Having never lived in a large city before, she is excited to familiarize herself with Minneapolis’ extensive bike trails and explore the vibrant cultural diversity present in her neighborhood.
