Held January 11th
Book Donations Now Accepted
The Corcoran Book and Bake Sale has been a well-loved tradition in the neighborhood for a decade, bringing community members together over an appreciation for literature and baked goods. Although traditionally held in the fall, this year’s book sale will be held Saturday, January 11 to avoid overlap with the Midtown Farmer’s Market–a Corcoran Neighborhood Organization (CNO) program. All book and bake sale proceeds benefit CNO, which serves the Corcoran neighborhood through community organizing, neighborhood advocacy, and a variety of programs in addition to the market such as Mujeres en Acción y Poder.
CNO welcomes book donations dropped off between 9-5 on weekdays at the office (3451 Cedar Ave. S). If you have books to donate but are unable to bring them to the office, or if you are interested in volunteering, please contact Elizabeth at info@corcoranneighborhood.org or (612)-724-7457. Volunteer needs include help sorting books, help run the event, set-up and clean-up, and donating baked goods for the bake sale. Please only donate quality used books—CNO will not be accepting textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines. Books are accepted in all languages.
