Celebrating Polish culture in the Twin Cities

This year’s Twin Cities Polish Festival was held August 15-16 at St. Anthony Main. The Twin Cities Polish Festival is a non-profit organization promoting Polish and Polish-American culture and traditions. Through the Festival, Polish organizations, professional groups, businesses, and individuals are encouraged to make an investment in the future and longevity of Polish culture and its traditions in Minnesota.

 

 

 

 

 

This year’s festival featured vendors offering Polish food and drink, stage performances and polka dances, a Polish sheepdog exhibition and the new Na Zdrowie 5K Run.The musical performances also included the Chopin Celebration.  Eleven gifted young performers, as well guest performer Professor Ora Itkin of the SPCM and the University of St. Thomas, played pieces by Chopin, other Polish composers, and friends of Chopin. Also joining the students are prize winning twins, Piotr and Paweł Wołowicz of Chojnice, Poland who traveled to the Twin Cities to perform.
