Two years ago I lost my mother to liver cancer after she had undergone surgery and chemotherapy for two years. It was heartbreaking to see a healthy 80-year-old sink into such a reduced state after her surgery and the invasive treatments she chose to receive. I have since wondered whether she would’ve been better served by a different approach. I’d love to hear from other readers how their loved ones responded to cancer treatments.
