Transition from Oil Dependence to Neighborhood Interdependence

Corcoran GROWS invites you to an Education and Community Building event on Saturday, September 17 from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the public school building at 2225 East Lake (the Midtown Farmers Market site). Join neighbors for an interactive, educational event about peak oil and local resilience. There will be food, door prizes and a chance to see what Corcoran GROWS has accomplished in the past year!

Please join us!, and then mark your calendar for 2 more gatherings:

“Brainstorming our Future!” Saturday, October 15 from 10:30am – 12:30pm at the public school building at 2225 East Lake (the Midtown Farmers Market site). Get ready to envision our future…what will life in the Corcoran neighborhood be like in 2030? Come with your BIG (or small) ideas and passion to this event to kick off our visioning process.

“Get into Action!” Saturday, Nov. 12 from 10:30am – 12:30pm at Corcoran Park, 3334 20th Ave S. It’s time to make our vision a reality! Come help create new action teams to realize the vision we created in October 2011.
