NEW PROGRAM FOR TEENS.

Lina Berglund is a totally normal 15 year-old about to enter high school in Sweden, which is something she hopes to change. Lina’s school friends are more advanced socially and sexually.

Feeling boring by comparison, Lina makes the decision to get into the game. She is secretly in love with Ivar, who is two years younger, but she’s convinced herself he’s a hopeless geek. Trying to establish herself as cool, Lina is set up with a jock who is already in high school. Figuring out how to act on her desires and navigate peer pressures is awkward and complicated. Lina needs to choose what she wants and who she wants to be with. With great sensitivity, the film incorporates humor and imagination as Lina finds her self-confidence. Like a Judy Blume book, this film succeeds via colorful character development, emotional honesty, and a matter of fact approach to the secret lives of teens.

Recommended for age 14+ Parental Advisory: Contains some scenes of teen drinking and sexuality; not appropriate for children.
