Bike boulevards coming to Minneapolis

Print

The city of Minneapolis is planning to make five new bicycle boulevards in the city next year, including 22nd Ave, Fillmore and 5th Streets in Northeast Minneapolis, 18th Avenue South, and Bryant Avenue South. Following the model of cities like Portland, Oregon and Berkeley, California, it will encourage people to bike on the route by slowing traffic, improving signage and making street crossings safer. KFAI’s Asa Diebolt rode along on the Bryant Avenue planning meeting and has this report.
