Brother Trumka: The news that you have declared the AFL-CIO’s “political independence” and will no longer automatically support the Democratic Party has spread like wildfire throughout the labor movement. On behalf of the Campaign for a Mass Party of Labor, I would like to congratulate you for taking this step.
