Anti-SOPA code goes viral, blacks out websites

Thousands of websites went dark Wednesday in protest of two potential anti-piracy legislations using a code created by a University of Minnesota alumnus, Zachary Johnson.

The code turns user’s cursors into digital flashlights that light up an anti-SOPA, the Stop Online Piracy Act, message and link to AmericanCensorship.org.

Grad student fights against sexual assault

After a year-long process to report her own assault and convict her attacker, Kristi Kremers is working to help sexual assault victims report their experiences.

Kremers, a graduate student and former Graduate and Professional Student Assembly president, is now putting together a focus group for survivors at the University of Minnesota.
