While some protesters were arrested at “Zero Recruitment Day” protests on April 23, others remained peacefully chained together, shutting down the recruitment offices near the U of M campus on Friday, April 24. The Minnesota Independent has an account of some of the protests, and protest organizers have a minute-by-minute story on TC IndyMedia. Organizers headlined “Two Lockdowns, Seven Actions, Eight Arrests for “Zero Recruitment Day,” includingthree “grandmas for peace” arrested at Knollwood shopping center. Photos below from the U of M lockdown that kept the recruiting offices closed all day on April 24, taken by Soren Sorenson for TC Daily Planet.
