African American museum prepares to renovate its new home

A landmark unlike any other is being created in Minneapolis. The Coe Mansion Carriage House was previously a bed and breakfast hotel, followed by 20 years of vacancy. The Coe Mansion will begin renovations in March to become an African American museum and culture center to honor the history of Minnesota’s African Americans. KFAI reporter Ivan B. Phifer spoke to Roxanne Givens, who is spearheading the museum project.
