TCDP TOP PICK: In the apartment I shared with my friends in grad school, we'd stay up late working and then have a couple of beers while we listened to music or watched The Simpsons—then, when we were tipsy enough to stop caring about the neighbors, we'd close out the night with a thundering play of Puccini's "Nessun Dorma," standing at attention and somberly facing the speakers while we twisted the volume knob to an entirely unreasonable point.
