If you’re looking for a great outdoor springtime activity, join Friends of the Mississippi River at the confluence of the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers. Crosby Farm Park is an urban oasis, with a striking array of spring wildflowers native to Minnesota. We need volunteers to help protect many spring ephemerals such as Dutchman’s Breeches, Trout Lily, and Jack-in-the pulpit.
South Creek, Vermillion Stewards Earth Day Cleanup
Come enjoy a light breakfast (think bagels and coffee) before taking part in a cleanup during Lakeville’s Watershed Cleanup Day. A light lunch will also be provided to all who help (as well as volunteer T-shirts!) at the conclusion of the event at South Creek, which feeds the Vermillion River, an important tributary of the Mississippi River and trophy trout stream.
